I will just say it – I have always LOVED country music! I know a lot of people my age will think that is not cool but I do! I really like it because I love to hear the stories the songs tell. My favorite favorite is Martina Mcbride. For school this week I had to write about some songs and I chose hers to write about. I thought you might want to read it. Maybe you will become a country music fan too! Ohh and check out my pink cowboy boots. That is definetely cool!!
Martina McBride songs are music that inspires me. I like it because it tells me a story. I picked three songs that are the best to write about.
The song “Anyway” is about someone that has trouble but they should just do things anyway. The part of the song that says when you build something and the storm blows it away it doesn’t mean a real storm comes. It means that something bad happens. The message of the song is that even though you have a hard time and you should do things anyway. Sometimes in life bad things happen or they happen like you don’t think they should but live your life to the fullest. You should pray, dream, love, believe, and sing. I really like the words to this song. This song makes me want to be strong and believe. Even though I have SMA I try to do stuff and be happy.
“God’s Will” is a song about a little boy that is handicapped. He can’t walk very good and he can’t talk really good either. Will met a lady on Halloween night and they became friends. Will’s smile was a bright as the August sun because it was really big. God’s Will had two meanings. It was the little boys name and it also meant something else. It was also God’s Will for her to meet the little boy and teach her about life. She learned a lot about God and love. I like this song because it is like me. I think I teach people to love life and believe in God.
“Happy Girl” is a song about being happy. You can be happy and you do not have to be sad all the time. Martina used face of stone and heart of gloom to describe being unhappy. She was a sad girl but then her soul broke free and she had angels watching over her. She decided that she did not have to be unhappy all the time. I like this song because it reminds me of my sister. She used to love singing to this song. She always said “I the happy girl”. I can’t sing it like Cassie did because she had a deep voice and I don’t. Me and Cassie really liked this song. Cassie is really happy now because she is in heaven. She is the angel watching over me.

I am Really Really Sad!

Mountain New Years 2012

When I got really sick my gammama promised me a trip to the mountains when I was in the ambulance. She wanted me to get better quick. When I got better I did not forget about that trip. We wanted to go at Thanksgiving but I wasn’t doing very good. So I got to go to the mountains for New Year’s Eve. We saw Christmas lights. We went to a baseball stadium and saw dancing lights. We had a really nice cabin that we stayed in. The name of it was “Just Believe”. And we went for walks to the playground. On New Year’s we got to watch the ball drop. I stayed up past midnight. One day we went to the Apple Barn. We had apple fritters, candy, ice cream, and apple cider. I really loved the fireplace. I liked to lay by the fire and watch tv. We had a great time and lots of fun!!!

Really really sick

I got really really sick and it was really scary. I started to get sick on Tuesday. I started to have trouble breathing on Friday and we had to call EMS. We had to use the Cough Assist all the way there or I would stop breathing. I had to be in Intensive Care for 12 days. I had to do respiratory treatments about every 3 hours. They even had to wake me up all night. I got a collapsed lung and it was really bad. I told them to do whatever they had to do so that I would get better and could go home. They gave me some strong medicine and it finally helped get the stuff out of my lungs. When things got really bad I could feel my sister Cassie with me. I was really happy when I got to go home. I hope I don’t ever get sick like that again.

Disney World Again!

Yahoo!!! I got to got to Disney World two times this summer! The first time I went was for Jonah’s birthday. Then I got to go again for the SMA conference. I really liked it.

The first time I went to Disney Ms. Jan helped us. We stayed all day and even got to see the fireworks. We saw a lot of parades and shows. We got to meet all the characters.

When I went to Disney World again in June Bethany and Wallette went with me. It was the first time Bethany ever went to Disney. I got to ride a bus. We had a great time.

April 2011
I went to my first concert and saw Tim McGraw. My mama surprised me with tickets to the concert. When we got there we met Luke Bryan and he signed my pink cowboy hat. Thanks Mr. Roger! I had seats in the front by the speakers but it was way too loud so we went to the back of the room to watch. A guy came up to us and said he couldn’t enjoy the concert because he was worried that I couldn’t see. He got us new seats right in the middle of the civic center all by ourselves in between Tim Mc Graw’s two stages. Wehn he went from one stage to the other he went right by us. It was awesome! I got really tired and started to leave early. When we got to the lobby he started playing my favorite song “Live Like you are dying” so I had to go right back in. Me, my mama, and my gammama sang and danced and the ushers even danced with us. One of them started crying. Somebody told her about my sister. Country music fans are really really nice. One bought me a t-shirt, one gave me a bracelet, and they all wanted to make sure I had a great time. The security guards and the ushers said the best part of the concert was that I got to go. It was a really awesome great time!

I have a bad gene in my body so I have a disease called SMA. The disease makes my muscles really weak. I can’t walk but I have a wheelchair. I can’t breathe on my own but I have a bipap. I can’t swallow but I love to taste foods. There are a lot of things I can’t do but there are a lot of things I can do!

Puppies and Kitties

One year for Christmas I got a new stuffed puppy. It was really soft and Cassie didn’t get one. And Cassie got a little jealous. When we went to Chicago gammama made Cassie so happy! She surprised Cassie with a soft kitty just like my puppy. When Cassie went to heaven the kitty went with her.

March 2010
On my thirteenth birthday mama surprised me with a trip to the mountains. I didn’t really think that they were going to do anything special for my birthday. They woke me up early and told me to get ready to go. I was going someplace I have always wanted to go!
I saw snow for the first time. It started snowing when we got to the mountains. We got out at the church and played in the snow. We had so much fun making snow angels, throwing snowballs, building snowmen and playing and playing.
We went to the Biltmore house too. We had a really good cabin too. It had a pool table, a hot tub, a ping pong table, and a arcade game. My Uncle Heath even came for a few days. When he came we had a scavenger hunt and a cake made from cotton candy. I had a great birthday in the mountains!
